Orchestration Reviews

Here, you can order an orchestration review from me. Reviews pertain to acoustic orchestration, as well as virtual orchestration using VST instruments.

I will listen to your music, view your PDF Score and/or MIDI Data, and list the issues I see with your orchestration and/or virtual orchestra programming and mock-up, as well as suggestions to address them.

Composition and orchestration problems are related, so I will make sure to talk about composition issues if needed. If you are sending a virtual orchestration, I’ll also make note of any programming or mix suggestions that apply.

The 1 listen option includes just one feedback email and the 3 listens option includes 2 post-revision checks, meaning that you can send me your music two extra times after the initial review and get further feedback about the orchestration.

All genres welcome! Whether you make video game music, film music, neo-classical, orchestral indie pop, or even symphonic metal, if it has orchestral elements, I will review it. I want to help you make the best orchestral music possible!

Please send MP3 with PDF Score and/or MIDI file to contact@manfredoniamusic.com after payment

What Students Are Saying

Jeffrey Y. (Batterfingers)

Tony's private lessons have really helped me to take my orchestration skills to the next level. Tony has played a huge role in my growth as a composer, with improvements in instrumentation, counterpoint, and production quality. The gap between my vision/inspirations and my own orchestrations has narrowed tremendously over the course of my lessons with Tony, and I would highly recommend him for anyone who is looking to move forward in their musical journey.

Kim Taulbee, Associate Director of Music Third Church, Richmond, VA

I highly recommend Tony Manfredonia as a private tutor/consultant for orchestrating. He was very affirming, encouraging and easy to converse with yet able to zero in on areas that could be improved. His teaching style in person is as clear as his videos and his knowledge is impressive. I had a wide array of questions to which he always had informed comprehensive answers.

Mike B., Media Composer

I highly recommend studying with Tony to take your music to the next level. Not only is he a fabulous composer, but also a phenomenal educator. I took 4 lessons with him over the course of 8 weeks and in that short time my orchestrations improved dramatically. He was always well prepared, clear with his critique, and was quickly able to address some specific concerns I had about my writing. He also covered some MIDI programming techniques and mixing tips to help my music sound more realistic when using samples.
